Let us continue to meditate upon the Kingship of Christ, so often maligned by ungrateful men and the teaching of the Social Kingship of Christ abandoned by His Church.

Jesus, King of the Church, forgive those who are grievously offending you by attacking your most sacred truths.

A meditation from St. Augustine:

What a stupendous thing it was for the King of the ages to become King of men! For Christ did not become King of Israel to exact tribute, to equip armies with swords, not subdue visible foes. He became King of Israel that He might rule over men’s souls, counsel them about eternity, that He might lead to the kingdom of heaven those who would believe in Him, hope in Him, and love Him.
